My New Handle For Pouring Liquid Metal

I'm Tyred Of Burning My Hands With 3000 Degree Burns 🔥🔥🔥
They Take Too Long To Heal Up, Even From Wearing Fire Proof Gloves.

So I Decided To Get Creative.
I Loked Around My Shed For Some Bits I Could Use.
I Managed To Find An Old Square Frame, Which Was An Old Bracket For Something I Had A Long Time Ago.
It Had A Rivet Either Side In The Middle, Which Give It Movement, So This I Thought I Could Use.
I Then Got Some Old Draw Handles & I Bolted Them Onto The Sides, Using A Big Nut On Each For The Washer & To Fill The Space So The Bolt Would Tighten Enough Into The Handle.

By This Point I Had A Frame With A Solid Handle Either Side. (Nice).

I Put My Crucible Inside The Frame For A Size Check.
With This I Then Got 4 Bolts The Same Size & Length.
I Had To Drill 4 Holes Big Enough Into The Frame So The Bolts Would Fit Nice & Then I Bolted The Bolts Into The Frame, With 2 Either Side.
On One Side I Added An Extra Piece Of Metal 3/4 Of The Way Down 2 Of The Bolts, Which I Used 4 Butterfly Nuts To Keep In Place To Act As A Crucible Gripper.
All These Bolts Act As Grips Both Sides.
I Used A Butterfly Nut On Each To Tighten Them All To The Frame.
When I Give It The Lifting & Pouring Test, It Stayed In Place & Did Not Slip.
So I'm Very Happy With My DIY Homemade Handle.
I Will Post A Video Of This In Action Soon.
Enjoy 😁
