This Is My Very 1st Aluminium Cast I Made Using Cans.
This Was What It Looked Like As Soon As The Aluminium Set.
Within Seconds I Was Able To Pick This Out With My Hand, As It Wasn't Hot Anymore.
Then I Got My Sandpaper, Files & Dremal Out & Got Sanding, Taking Off All The Rough Edges & Making This Smooth.
This Is What It Looked Like After & Once I Had Put The Grooves In For The Bands.
Once I Was Happy With This, I Decided To Give It Some Colour.
I Had Some Old Land Rover Black Gloss Spray Paint On The Shelf Which Had Been There For A While.
So I Hung Up The Catapult Frame From The Roof Bearers With Some Wire & Give It A Spray.
Once It Had Dryed After About 30 Minutes, I was Pleased With The Shiny Black Look Of The Frame.
So Then I Needed Some Elastic Of Some Kind.
So I Then Remembered That I Had Some Old Black Rubber Tube Elastic From A Long Time Ago.
This Was Somewhere In My Shed, I Hope'd So.
I Had A Search Round & Found The Elastic In A Box Under A Pile Of Dust.
So I Give The Elastic A Good Clean & To Preserve It, I Used Vegetable Oil & A Little Bit Of Vasaline.
I Then Put The Bands On To The Frame & Tied Them Over The Top Using String.
Once The String Was Tied, I Used Electrical Tape Around The String & Band.
This Give The Bands More Strength Of Staying On The Frame.
It Is Now A Catapult.
This Is How It Turned Out.
With The Shape That I Designed, It Is Made To Fit My Hand.
I Went Outside To Give It A Test & It Has 100% Accuracy & Lots Of Power.
I Will Be Making Many More Of Different Shapes & Sizes.
